Wright Civil is a locally owned and growing civil construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Waikato. We are on the lookout for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our Hamilton-based team.

As a Quantity Surveyor at Wright Civil, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and financial aspects of our projects. You’ll be responsible for estimating, cost tracking, claim preparation, works programmes and ensuring project profitability from start to finish.

• Preparing cost estimates and tender submissions
• Developing and managing budgets and SOQs
• Compiling and submitting variation and progress claims
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Assisting with procurement and contract administration
• Providing accurate cost reporting and forecasting

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within civil construction
• Sound understanding of NZS3910 & 3915 and other relevant construction contracts
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Proficient in MS Excel; experience with CostX or similar software is a bonus
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, can-do attitude and ability to work independently
