Automotive Mechanic

WAE are looking for a motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Waikouaiti.
We are a busy workshop, working on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.This is a full time position Monday – Friday 7.30am – 4.00pm (4 day working week an option) .
The successful candidate will; * Have a WOF inspector authority (or be capable of obtaining the qualification)- Be confident in their capabilities.
- Have a high standard of mechanical workmanship and attention to detail.
- Have good time management and well organised.
- Have good communication skills.
- Have a reliable and honest work ethic.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Maintain an organised, tidy and safe work area.
- Be committed to Health and Safety
Travel options to be discussed at the time of the interview.
Eligibility criteria for a WOF inspector
Experience: You must have at least three years of continuous, relevant work experience as an automotive technician with a relevant qualification or have five cumulative years of full-time experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
Driver's License: You must hold a valid driver's license for the types of vehicles you will be inspecting.Fit and Proper Person: You must meet the "fit and proper person" requirements, which can include having a criminal record check
