About the role
Are you an experienced technician who enjoys problem-solving and keeping machines in peak condition? Do you like the independence of working on the road while knowing you have a supportive workshop team behind you? EmployMe has an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our client's busy rural service branch in Dunedin.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Travel to farms and contractors across the district to diagnose, repair, and service tractors and agricultural machinery
- Deliver excellent customer support and technical advice
- Work independently while staying connected with a knowledgeable workshop team
- Keep accurate records of work carried out
- Participate in a rotating on-call roster for urgent breakdowns
What We’re Looking For:
- Solid experience with tractors, telehandlers, or agricultural machinery
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Confident communicator with great customer service skills
- Full NZ driver’s licence
- Positive, proactive attitude
