College Catering is a large food service operation producing over 8500 meals per day to eleven University Colleges.
The role - Te mahi
We are seeking Front of House Supervisors to work in our busy Cumberland College and 192 Castle College Food Service teams.
These positions are responsible for the Front of House service of college meals. Other duties include cleaning and some food preparation.
Your skills and experience - Ka pukeka me ka wheako
You will be a hospitality professional with a varied background in food service, strong communication and team building skills.
We are also looking for candidates with:
- a high level of enthusiasm and customer service
- previous experience in the hospitality industry
- previous experience in the supervision of service staff
- the ability to develop and maintain effective networks and key relationships.
You will be committed to continuous improvement and always able to organise and prioritise an unpredictable working day.

These are permanent, full-time, semester time only positions (38 weeks a year, February to November), located in Dunedin.
Hours of work are 40 hours per week, as per roster.
Positions will commence in May 2025.
The appointment range is $26.05 - $26.57 per hour. Top of range is $27.60 per hour.
The University offers catering staff summer maintenance work as a Trades Assistant to those staff seeking employment outside of the academic year (November to February).
While these positions will commence in the Cumberland College and 192 Castle College, if there is a need, this position may be relocated to another College on the Dunedin campus.
