Days required: Monday – Friday
Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed

Hourly rate: $26 – $39 per hour

Job prerequisites:
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ relevant work experience or a relevant qualification
  • Basic knowledge of petrol and/or diesel vehicle engines and systems
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
  • Experience using hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures
  • Physically fit and able to lift vehicle parts and tools
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and upskill
  • Good communication skills
  • Full driver’s licence
  • Drug free
Job Description
  • Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical faults
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using tools and computer diagnostic equipment
  • Dismantle and assemble vehicle parts to required specifications
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty mechanical components
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tune-ups
  • Reassemble engines and vehicle systems after repair
  • Test and adjust vehicles to ensure proper performance and safety
  • Maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs
  • Keep the workshop clean and follow all health and safety requirements
  • Assist with other workshop duties as required
