Hourly rate: $26 – $39 per hour
Job prerequisites:- Minimum 1–2 years’ relevant work experience or a relevant qualification
- Basic knowledge of petrol and/or diesel vehicle engines and systems
- Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
- Experience using hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures
- Physically fit and able to lift vehicle parts and tools
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and upskill
- Good communication skills
- Full driver’s licence
- Drug free
- Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical faults
- Diagnose vehicle issues using tools and computer diagnostic equipment
- Dismantle and assemble vehicle parts to required specifications
- Repair or replace worn or faulty mechanical components
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tune-ups
- Reassemble engines and vehicle systems after repair
- Test and adjust vehicles to ensure proper performance and safety
- Maintain accurate records of servicing and repairs
- Keep the workshop clean and follow all health and safety requirements
- Assist with other workshop duties as required
