Mō tenei tūrana mahi | About this role We currently have two fixed-term vacancies for Operational Policy Advisors to join our team.Due to its short-term nature, these roles will be based in Wellington; applications may be considered for those who prefer to be based in Manukau (Auckland) or Dunedin.
The Operational Policy Team develops operational policy to help ACC achieve its organisational and legislative objectives.
As an Operational Policy Advisor at ACC, you will influence the quality and consistency of frontline decision making to enhance Aotearoa's experience of ACC.
The primary focus for these roles will be to support the Operational Policy team to review and update policy content to ensure it is current, accurate and fit for purpose as it transitions to our Te Whāriki (Sharepoint) platform.
This will involve effective policy writing skills, a keen eye for detail and an ability to work to deadlines.
The work will involve collaboration across the team and with stakeholders across the organisation.
There may also be other small policy projects, as required.
Two fixed-term roles are available: one for a duration of 6 months and the other for 9 months.
For a detailed position description click here.Ko wai koe | About you Experience working with complex legislation.Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic policy environment.Proficient written communication skills and experience communicating information to different audiences.A sense of ownership and a commitment to 'getting it right' to support frontline delivery for our kiritaki (clients).Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and make positive contributions to the team.A background in a similar role (e.g.
in a specialist or policy role), preferably advising in complex operating environments and/or working at the interface between policy and operations.This role provides a real opportunity to affect the lives of New Zealanders by ensuring that they are provided with the right rehabilitation support at the right time.

- $110,047 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities.
ACC also offers 9% superannuation.
