Exciting Opportunity: Healthcare Assistant at Janelle Rest Home

Looking for NZ experienced Healthcare Assistant.
This role includes working a minimum of 30 hours per week, on a 7- day rotating roster.
This will include weekend work.

Pay rate for this role is between $30 - $36.50 an hour.

Key responsibilities include:
  • delivering care in line with individual care plans and resident notes
  • maintaining knowledge and practice in accordance with training, policies and procedures
  • accurately identifying, documenting and reporting changes in resident's conditions to senior staff
  • participating and passing the annual competencies
  • supporting Infection Control, Health and Safety strategies
  • working together with Registered Nurse and implementing, and completing the Activities assessment ,Careplan, evaluation.
  • develop the monthly activities planner for the Care Home and individual resident's
Qualifications and Experience required as follows
NZ certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Level 4
  • Level 4 - Dementia Care
  • Level 4 - Recreational Therapy

Level 5 - Diploma in Mental Health and Addiction

Minimum of 1 year NZ aged care experience

Has current medication competency, Knowledge and experience in Recreational Activities therapy.

Current First Aid certificate

Has NZ Full Driver's License.
