About the Role
Waitemata District Phlebotomy Services has a part time permanent 0.8FTE (64 hours per fortnight) vacancy available for a hardworking and reliable person. You will be part of a friendly, dynamic and culturally diverse team working in a busy, fast-paced environment contributing to the delivery of Waitemata District's promise of 'Best care for everyone'.You will be a part of a supportive team providing a patient focused service and rostered to work from 5 to 8 hourly shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
Service delivery starts from 7am until 5pm weekdays and 7am until 12pm on weekends and public holidays; you must have flexibility to extend these hours if service delivery expectations change.
This role will require you to work at North Shore Hospital, Totara Haumaru, Elective Surgery Centre (located on the North Shore Hospital campus) and Waitakere Hospital sites. Willingness to travel to offsite clinics (Mason Clinic) is essential.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 2 years continuous demonstrated phlebotomy experience and skillExperience and competence in venepuncture using various blood collection equipment including vacutainer and butterfly methods and procedures
Ability to cover service delivery hours between 7am and 5pm weekdays and 7am and 12pm weekends and public holidays
Ability to work at North Shore Hospital, Totara Haumaru, Elective Surgery Centre (located on the North Shore Hospital campus) and Waitakere Hospital sites as well as offsite clinics
NZ residency or NZ citizenship
MS Council Registration with current annual practicing certificate
Additionally, you'll have proven customer service skills, the ability to inspire confidence in patients, work calmly under pressure, listen and communicate effectively, deal with a wide range of people in a sensitive manner, and be able to follow instructions with a high level of attention to detail.If this sounds like you, we look forward to hearing from you!
