Support Assistants (Kitchen, Cleaning, Laundry)

We are seeking experienced Support Assistants to join our Taradale and Elmwood aged care facilities on a casual basis.
We have shifts available as Kitchen Assistants, Cleaners and Laundry Assistants. Work in one role or get trained in all three!
We are a caring, friendly team with modern, purpose-built facilities. Our support staff are integral members of our team who help provide a high-class service so our residents feel at home and cared for.
These are casual "as required" position to fill gaps in our roster and cover staff leave. Shifts include day, dinner and weekend shifts. No late nights required! Casual roles may lead to permanent positions in the future.
Kitchen Assistants assist with meal and dining room set up, basic food preparation tasks for meals, dishes and cleaning duties. You will ideally be someone with previous kitchen and food handling experience OR you enjoy being in a kitchen environment and have the ability to train into this position.You can maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness and have (or a willing to obtain once employed) Basic Food Safety Unit Standard 167.
Cleaners assist with cleaning duties throughout the facilities including common areas and residents' rooms. Laundry Assistants work in our laundry facility assisting with the laundering or facility linens, residents' clothing and more. You will ideally have experience in a commercial cleaning or laundry environment.Even better if you have worked in an aged care facility before! (However, full training will be given to suitable candidates).
Regardless of your preferred role/s, above all, you will be a team player and have great communication and customer service skills. You can manage your time efficiently and you have a high level of care and empathy towards our elderly residents.
