  • Safe Staffing (CCDM) providesoperational leadership support and facilitation for Safe Staffing across theCanterbury
  • Waitaha and West Coast
  • Te Tai o Poutini district.

The Nursing Manager is responsible for coordinating theprogramme of activity that supports safe staffing and CCDM across every campus.This includes ensuring safe and effective operations are undertaken on everyshift, working alongside clinical leaders to ensure staff resources are matchedto patient care demands, that these are monitored and that staffing risks aremitigated.

They also support the functions of the integrated operation centreat each campus and work collaboratively with nursing, allied health andmidwifery clinical leads.
They support staff wellbeing, organisationalefficiency and excellence as well as a strong focus on improvement andoperational excellence.

About youKnowledge of and significant experience with safe staffing /CCDM Sound understanding of professional ethicsExcellent communication, time management and interpersonal skillsSolution focused, adaptable, self motivated with the ability to think on your feetExcellent team player with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary teamRegistered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC)Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
