We are committed to delivering reliable, time-sensitive, and high-quality supply solutions to vessels operating under strict turnaround schedules.Due to business growth and increasing vessel movements, we are seeking a dedicated and reliable Supply and Logistics Clerk to join our team in Tauranga.
Job Summary
The Supply and Logistics Clerk will be responsible for coordinating vessel supply orders, managing inventory, preparing documentation, liaising with shipping agents and procurement teams, and ensuring timely deliveries to vessels.This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under time-sensitive shipping deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process vessel supply orders from shipping agents and procurement teams
- Coordinate sourcing and purchasing of goods from approved suppliers
- Prepare quotations, invoices, packing lists, and delivery documentation
- Organise and schedule deliveries according to vessel ETA and port requirements
- Liaise with port authorities, shipping agents, and vessel representatives
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records
- Track inbound and outbound goods while ensuring full compliance with documentation requirement is met
- Ensure all deliveries meet Health and Safety, food safety and quality standards
- Assist with warehouse coordination and loading supervision
- Maintain clear communication with management regarding order progress and delays
- Ensure compliance with New Zealand biosecurity and maritime regulations
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution (preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, email systems, and inventory software
- Good understanding of freight coordination and scheduling
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure with strict vessel deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full driver licence preferred
- Location: Tauranga - Hybrid
- Minimum 30 hours per week
- Monday to Friday (may require occasional weekend coordination depending on vessel schedule)
- Hourly rate: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour (depending on qualification and experience)
