Operations Manager – Logistics & Fulfilment
SDC Logistics NZ is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Logistics & Fulfilment to oversee and coordinate day-to-day operational activities across warehousing, fulfilment and freight movements. The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage operational workflows, support staff, and ensure consistent service delivery as the business continues to grow.
The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, able to plan, prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced logistics environment while promoting continuous improvement across operations.
Key responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate daily logistics, warehousing and fulfilment operations
- Manage inbound and outbound freight movements, including coordination with transport providers and carriers
- Supervise and support operational staff, ensuring productivity, quality and safe working practices
- Monitor operational performance and address issues to minimise disruptions and delays
- Ensure accurate inventory handling, order fulfilment and operational record-keeping
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, operational procedures and relevant regulations
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to meet service and delivery expectations
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service outcomes
- Support management with operational reporting, planning and workflow coordination
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in logistics, transport, warehousing or fulfilment operations
- Experience in an operational leadership, supervisory and / or management role
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage day-to-day operational challenges and take ownership of outcomes
- Knowledge of logistics workflows and freight movements
- Clear and practical communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Permanent role with guaranteed minimum 35 hours per week
