Short Order Cook
THE BAR AND RESTAURANT HAS A COSY AND WARM TRADITIONAL VIBE, AND IS JUST THE PLACE TO GET GOOD PUB FOOD THAT CATERS TO EVERY TASTE.
As mentioned in the initial description we are looking for the first time in 8 years for a new member to join our join tight-knit kitchen team. We are seeking a short order cook ideally with experience in a commercial kitchen.
Task and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Operating kitchen equipment’s such as ovens, stoves, grills, and fryers safely and efficiently.Follow established recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency and quality.
Excellent Cooking techniques and attention to detail.
Food/ingredients preparation cooking, plating and presentation.
Responsible for the cleanliness of the equipment and utensils in the kitchen and make sure that correct procedures and guidelines are followed.
Follow hygiene and safety regulations.
Job requirements:We ask that you must be available to work every second weekend, split shifts, public holidays and overtime to cover holidays and sickness.
You must be punctual, reliable and be able to work well in a small team environment and maintain food quality and consistency.
You must be a Citizenship of New Zealand or have a valid open work visa or residency to be considered.
