Turkish Kebab Cooks

You will be responsible for preparing, seasoning, and cooking Turkish food as well as maintaining the hygiene in the restaurant and kitchen.

We are open seven days, so you will be working rostered shifts between 9:00am and 9:00pm, Monday to Sunday. You will be guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours work per week.

Your pay rate will depend on your skills and experience, but will range between $25.00 per hour and $35.00 per hour.

• Preparing and cooking traditional Turkish food including Iskender and doner kebab.
• Shaving meat from the rollers.
• Seasoning and preparing food.
• Plating food neatly and ensuring proportions are correct.
• Ordering food supplies as required.
• Storing leftover supplies appropriately.
• Maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Sharing knowledge of cooking techniques with colleagues.
• Providing training to new staff as directed by management.
• Providing input into periodic menu changes and/or special menu items.

Skills and Experience

• At least three years’ relevant work experience or a relevant level 4 qualification.
• A high standard of personal hygiene and presentation.
• The ability to work in a small, high-paced and high-volume environment.
• To be punctual, organised, and capable of multitasking with attention to detail.
• Experience with health and safety laws and record-keeping for quality control.
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
