Our client is a leading financial services organisation with a significant technology footprint across New Zealand. They are investing heavily in modernising workflow, integration, and cloud capabilities to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations.

As a Senior Project Manager within the Technology Delivery Practice, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex workflow and integration initiatives across the organisation. You will provide senior-level leadership, planning, and delivery oversight, bringing structure and clarity to multi-disciplined teams while ensuring outcomes align with both immediate business needs and long-term strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large and complex technology projects or workstreams within major programmes
• Coordinate resources and manage dependencies across multiple delivery streams
• Deliver workflow and integration initiatives across infrastructure, mainframe, API, and cloud environments
• Partner closely with senior business stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery outcomes
• Engage and manage third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery
• Provide financial and budget oversight across project deliverables
• Influence stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges and maintain momentum
• Contribute to project governance, reporting, and escalation processes
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Apply sound project management principles within established enterprise delivery frameworks

Requirements:

• Extensive experience delivering large, complex technology projects within financial services or similarly regulated environments
• Proven delivery across infrastructure, mainframe, complex integration landscapes, and cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud
• Strong understanding of software delivery frameworks, governance, and controls
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with confidence engaging at executive and technical levels
• Strong organisational and leadership capability, including decision-making and team leadership
• Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and building capability across multi-disciplined delivery teams
