About the Role
As part of the Duty Nurse Manager Team, you will be responsible for the co-ordination of the Waikato Hospital Campus, plus provide assistance to Thames Hospital and our Rural Sites. You will ensure safe, appropriate and efficient management and utilisation of resources that supports patient care and flow.If you are in search of variety this is the position for you.
The salary for this position will be based on experience and in line with the NZNO Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement. Additional benefits include kiwisaver contributions (if eligible), shift allowances, professional development and wellness support.

About the Team
The Duty Nurse Manager Team at Waikato are highly skilled, able to adapt to a variety of situations across a number of services. Providing leadership out of hours and assisting to trouble shoot situations where demand at times outweighs available resources.

About you
Ideal candidates will have:
- Registration with the NZ Nursing Council and a current Annual Practising Certificate;
- A minimum of 5 years NZ experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Previous experience in patient flow is highly desirable
- Proven leadership ability
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, organise and work collaboratively with others.
- Agile, proactive and positive in your approach
- Duty Nurse Manager experience preferred
- A requirement to work across all shifts
