Log Truck Driver

Stuart Drummond Transport operates a modern fleet of log trucks in the Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast regions. We have a full-time position available for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join our dedicated team. This role guarantees a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with optional Saturday work depending on workload.
Key Responsibilities:- Safe and efficient driving of modern log trucks.
- Operating additional equipment, including loaders, wheel loaders, and diggers, as required.
- Maintaining and servicing vehicles, including defect reporting.
- Adhering to company systems and safety protocols.
- Participating in ongoing training, including Log Transport Safety Council (LTSC) certification pathways
- Class 5 license
- Experience with truck and trailer combinations
- Experience with Wheel Loaders and Diggers
- W, T, R Endorsement
- Passion for driving trucks
- Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
- Strong work ethic
- Physically fit
- Honest, reliable, and punctual
- Ability to listen and follow instructions
- Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Medical examination.
- Random and post-incident drug testing as part of our safety protocols.
- New Zealand residency or a current New Zealand work visa.
- Proficiency in reading and speaking English.
- Applicants must have no prior criminal conviction
