WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
  • Be part of a mission that matters – supporting the essential services that keep Auckland running smoothly.
  • Play a critical role in delivering services that have real impact on the day-to-day lives of the people in our community.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to shape your role and contribute to the development of our long-term asset strategy
  • Flexible working hours and locations to support work-life balance.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Business Intelligence and Innovation Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring that approximately 5000 scheduled jobs – across both compliance and non-compliance work streams are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with council and contract expectations.

In this role you will be responsible for the following
  • Leading and optimising the scheduling, coordinating, and tracking of work delivered by both subcontractors and in-house teams
  • Ensuring every asset has the right maintenance activities and schedule attached
  • Monitoring delivery performance and escalating risks to delivery when required.
  • Working closely with Trade Managers and other operations team members to keep schedules realistic and achievable.
  • Supporting the Strategic Asset Manager and Asset Engineer in asset planning and development of asset management strategies and plans.

While primarily based in our Karangahape road office, this role will also have the flexibility to work from our Albany or Penrose offices, with some days from home.

Occasional site visits will also be expected to keep connected to the assets and the impact of your work.

ABOUT YOU – We’re looking for someone with:
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, workforce planning, job scheduling, or work order management
  • Strong excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to operate confidently in a complex, fast-paced environment. SAP experience is also an advantage
  • A collaborative mindset – able to communicate and influence across all levels of the business
  • The ability to think on your feet, prioritise effectively, and adjust plans when priorities shift.

Whether you’re from a contractor, asset management, or facilities background, this role could be a great next step for you to lead a key function and influence meaningful outcomes.
