Diesel Mechanic - Trucks
Central Transport Limited is a rural cartage company based between Taupo and Rotorua and we work alongside Midlands Rural Transport Ltd. In total, we run a modern fleet of more than 80 trucks.
We require a permanent Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated and positive team at our Broadlands depot. As part of our team, you will work on a variety of vehicles and work collaboratively to ensure that our fleet is maintained to the highest standards.We guarantee a minimum of 80 hours per fortnight. The workshop is open from 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and you will be rostered to work alternate Saturdays from 8:00am – 12:00pm.
We seek team members who demonstrate energy and who have a ‘çan do’ attitude. We are looking for someone with:- A certificate at NZQF Level 4, or a higher qualification, which includes the credit and knowledge requirements of the New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (NZQF Level 4) or 3 years or more industry experience.
- Ability to carry out maintenance, servicing, major repairs, and diagnostics of our diesel trucks.
- Ability to work safely and comply with CTL’s health and safety policies and procedures
- A stable career history and good references
- Good communication skills
We pay from $36.00 - $42.00 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. Your key responsibilities will be to maintain our trucks, diagnose issues and then repair our truck fleet.
