Job Location/Region: Palmerston North, Manawatu / Whanganui

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Days required: Monday – Sunday (any six days on a rostered basis)
Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
Ability to do GST, PAYE, Sales, P/L Accounts & Forecast
Ability to use MS Office Suite
Able to travel to Auckland for meetings

Purchasing stock
Preparing GST returns and payment schedules.
Preparing wages and salary payment and PAYE returns.
Formulating and implementing marketing policies, and setting prices
Promoting and advertising the establishment
Maintaining records of financial transactions.
Use of Eftpos and EPAY.
Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
Controlling selection, training, and supervision of staff
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

This is a demanding, hands-on management role that requires strong initiative, resilience and a positive attitude.You must be able to work unsupervised.
JOB PRE-REQUISITES: A minimum of 2 - 3 years relevant work experience
Ability and willingness to work on weekends / public holidays, early morning and late shiftsAbility to do GST, PAYE, Sales, P/L Accounts & Forecast

KEY TASKS: Managing and controlling overall store requirements
Ensuring stock levels and service standards are monitored and in orderPurchasing stock
Preparing GST returns and payment schedules.
Preparing wages and salary payment and PAYE returns.
Formulating and implementing marketing policies, and setting prices
Promoting and advertising the establishment
Determining product mix, changing to new products when required.
Selling goods to customers and advising them on product useMaintaining records of financial transactions.
Use of Eftpos and EPAY.
Undertaking budgeting for the establishment
Controlling selection, training, and supervision of staff
Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
Handling customer complaints
