Provide advice for complex infrastructure projects in WellingtonInfluence decision makersBased close to the beach and shops in Petone, WellingtonThis is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.The remuneration for this role is $106,892 to 150,906 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.The opportunityAs a Senior Water Network Engineer/Hydraulic Modeller, you will develop, maintain, and operate Drinking Water hydraulic models and contribute to the development of operations and capex proposals.
Your expertise and comprehensive skills will be utilised across the company. You will take a collaborative approach, playing an active role in advising on various infrastructure projects and overseeing the management of modelling consultants.This position is internally known as Senior Modeller (Drinking Water).You will get to:Provide technical advice to network operations, planning, engineering, and asset management teamsConduct thorough technical reviews (peer review) of outsourced model build projects and master planning studiesSupport strategic network planning and development controlUtilise calibrated hydraulic models to assess network performance against levels of serviceProject manage external model build contracts.About youTo be successful in this role you will bring:A tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline (for example, Civil or Environmental Engineering)Ideally 10 plus years experience in drinking water hydraulic modellingModelling project management experienceA continuous improvement mindset with strong data analytics skillsProven ability to innovate and implement new modelling techniquesStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in coaching and mentoring.BenefitsAt Wellington Water, our purpose extends beyond delivering great water services for the region; we foster a thriving community, support a diverse workforce, and offer supportive development opportunities.
