Skilled Metal Fabricators Wanted

Forward Window Solutions is a well-established manufacturer specialising in aluminium windows and doors. Located in Auckland, we are known for our dedication to quality, precision, and innovation. We are currently seeking skilled and reliable Metal Fabricators with experience in window frame and sash manufacturing to join our growing team.

• Studying blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
• Selecting, cleaning, and preparing metal stock
• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches, and metal cutting machines
• Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering
• Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments
• Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting, and riveting
• Examining welds for width of bead, penetration, and precision
• Finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing, and bathing in acidic solutions
• Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling, and grinding
• Fabricating and repairing aluminium window frames using various welding techniques
• Marking off and fabricating structural steel and other metal stock to make or repair metal products and structures such as boilers and pressure vessels

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in aluminium fabrication, particularly with window frames or sashes
• Skilled in interpreting detailed drawings and specifications
• Proficient in using fabrication tools, machinery, and welding equipment
• Strong eye for detail and a high level of craftsmanship
• Good knowledge of workplace safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Pay Rate: $29.66 – $35.00 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
