The Role

Our client is a leading South Auckland based civil contractor who is looking for a Skilled Labourer / Leading hand to join them in a hands-on, technical role that will require you to think ahead and use your initiative. The first project you will be involved with will include; dredging, Flocculation and de-watering operations to remove clay and impurities from a large pond

• Assisting with dredging and de-watering operations.
• Supporting Flocculation and water treatment processes
• Setting up and monitoring pumps and various other pieces of equipment
• Managing hoses, pipelines and site setup
• Work closely with Foreman / Supervisor to keep things running smoothly
• Stepping up to lead small crews when needed.

• Civil construction experience as a skilled labourer or similar role
• Experience in de-watering, drainage pumping or environmental works would be hugely beneficial.
• Mechanically minded and confident working around plant and equipment.
• Ability to understand what needs to be achieved and use initiative to get results and solve problems that may come up.
• Willingness to work away / experience with working away from home for more than a couple of days at a time.
