Excavator Operator, Labourer & Class 5 Driver

We’re a busy civil contractor working across the Auckland region, and we’re looking for an experienced Excavator Operator, Class 5 Truck Driver and Labourers to join our growing team.
We are an Accredited Employer, so we can hire migrants and support visa applications for the right candidate.
CLASS 5 TRUCK DRIVER:You’ll be operating Class 5 trucks across a range of civil projects including earthworks, drainage, and general civil construction. This role involves more than just driving — you’ll be part of the crew if/when needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Operating Class 5 truck and trailer units
- Transporting aggregates & materials to and from sites
- Supporting drainage and earthworks crews if/when required
- Daily vehicle pre-starts and maintenance checks
- Maintaining high safety standards onsite and on the road
- Accurate load documentation and time recording
- Full NZ Class 5 licence (essential)
- WTR endorsements (preferred but not essential)
- Civil / earthworks experience
- Good understanding of site safety and compliance
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and professional
EXCAVATOR OPERATOR
Key Responsibilities:- Operating excavators across civil, drainage & earthworks projects
- Trenching and installing drainage services
- Bulk earthworks and site cuts
- Working around live services (water, power, fibre, etc.)
- Assisting the crew on the ground when required
- Completing daily pre-starts and machine checks
- Maintaining high safety standards at all times
- Proven civil excavator operating experience
- WTR endorsements
- Ability to read plans and work to levels
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
- Experience in drainage is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with drainage installation
- Trenching and pipe laying support
- Spotting machinery and working around excavators
- General earthworks and site clean-up
- Loading/unloading materials and tools
- Maintaining site safety standards
- Previous civil or construction experience preferred (but not essential)
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors
- Strong work ethic and good attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work well in a team
