Our projects are typically heavy structures focused so the ideal candidate will have significant experience in projects involving carpentry, timber structures or reinforced concrete structures.

We are currently seeking an experienced Leading Hand Foreman Carpenter to join our committed hardworking team in Whangarei.

To be successful in your application for this role you must have:

• Trade qualified or significant experience in the trade.
• Experience in concrete foundations, precast and civil infrastructure structures.
• Well versed at reading and interpreting plans / drawings.
• Able to lead and motivate a team of guys.
• Good written and verbal communicator.
• Ability to undertake / supervise construction setout of works.
• Knowledge of the requirements to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• A strong eye for detail to ensure a quality outcome is achieved on all projects.
• Be performance driven, a self-starter with initiative and good problem solving skills.
• The ability to work closely with a great team
• Understanding of meeting deadlines.
• Strong knowledge and experience in construction carpentry, formwork, reinforced concrete, bridges, timber structures (decks, jetties etc.).

We are looking for self-motivated leaders who have strong problem-solving skills and a focus on quality.

You will require a driver’s license and you will be required to undergo pre-employment health checks & drug testing.

You would become part of the SBV team which undertakes varied and interesting construction projects.
