Support Worker - Child-Wellbeing

We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and support for a 16-year-old female client who has autism, global developmental delay, and is non-verbal.
The ideal candidates will be experienced in the care of persons with Autism, be physically fit / strong, with a Pacifica or Maori cultural background. We are looking for individuals who can provide a safe, nurturing, and a culturally enriched environment.We will provide you with ongoing competency-based training and support.
Shifts: 12 hours: 7am – 7pm or 7pm – 7am.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care, exercise program and daily routines.
- Engage the client in meaningful and stimulating activities.
- Provide emotional support in a calm and patient centred manner.
- Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the wider support team.
Key Requirements:
- Pacifica or Maori cultural background.
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs (preferably Autism).
- Physically fit and capable of supporting a strong person.
- Compassionate, patient, and able to build a trusting relationship.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to making a difference.
