Support Worker
Royal District Nursing Services (RDNS NZ) are seeking a dedicated team of 4 Support Workers to join us and assist our client with personal cares in the mornings and evenings. This is a long-term opportunity to support our client in living independently and joyfully at their home.
About the Role:
You will be working closely with an individual who requires high level support due to behaviours that may challenge you daily. The role involves:
- De-escalating behaviours safely and calmly.
- Supporting routines, activities and care in a timely manner consistently.
- Maintaining a structured, consistent, compassionate approach always.
- Strong understanding of behaviour support plan and safe practice.
- Can collaborate with multi-disciplinary stakeholders at once.
Location: West Auckland
Shift Available:
- Mornings: 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Evenings: 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Team-Based Roster: You'll work with others to cover shifts across the week. Each team member will have regular shifts and help cover for others as and when needed.

- Are physically fit, patient, reliable and willing to learn.

- Are flexible and Cooperative with the client's schedule.
- Display strength, resilience and a steady presence.
- Are confident in high pressure or emotionally intense environment.
- Are confident using a hoist (training will be provided).
- Love cats and are comfortable being around them.
What we are looking for:
- You are compassionate, punctual and team oriented.
- Available for morning and/or evening shifts.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Ready to start immediately and grow with the role.
- Minimum Restricted Driver's License and your own car is essential.
- Eligibility to legally live and work in NZ
- Relevant healthcare qualification or certificate equivalent to Level 3 and Level 4.
