Sous Chef

About You

You will:

• Have excellent time-management and organisational skills
• Strive for a high standard of cleanliness with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate clear, friendly communication with staff
• Bring a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Work well both independently and as part of a team
• Be capable of performing a physically demanding role
• Have a level 4 Cookery Certificate
• Have a minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role

• Prepare and cook dishes within set timeframes
• Ensuring each dish leaving the kitchen is checked for quality, quantity, presentation and correct temperature
• Keep all equipment clean and well maintained
• Demonstrate excellent hand–eye coordination
• Communicate clearly with the team
• Follow proper food handling and hygiene practices
• Ensuring all maintenance problems are promptly reported and followed up
• Prioritise food safety at all times
• Supervise regular on-the-job training so that subordinate staff perform their duties correctly
• Interact with customers in a friendly and outgoing manner
