Cabinet Installer – Xpert Trading Ltd

Hours: Full-time (minimum 30 hours per week)

Xpert Trading Ltd seeking an experienced Cabinet Installer to join our team in Auckland. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and installing high-quality cabinetry and furniture for residential and commercial spaces. • Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and job specifications
• Work with materials such as timber, MDF, plywood, veneer, and particle board
• Operate and program CAD/CNC machinery for cutting and shaping components
• Build cabinets, vanities, and furniture according to design requirements
• Install completed cabinetry in kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and commercial spaces
• Assemble components to complete custom furniture and fittings
• Apply protective coatings or surface finishes
• Fit hardware such as hinges, locks, handles, shelves, and drawers
• Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site safety guidelines
• Participate in toolbox meetings and ensure all activities comply with safe work practices
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free workspace

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction or interior fit-out sector
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
• Skilled with traditional woodworking tools and CNC machinery
• Solid understanding of New Zealand workplace and construction health & safety standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and capable of handling installation tasks and material movement
• Dedicated to maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional work environment
