We are looking for a creative cook with experience catering for large numbers to join our wonderful Living & Learning team. As Centre Cook you will be responsible for the preparation and cooking of vegetarian meals for over 100 children each day.

The position:
- Full time, permanent (40 hours) Monday to Friday
- 7.00am – 3.30pm with a 30 min lunch break
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is a pre-requisite
- Living & Learning police vet all potential employees
As an important member of our team, you will be:
- Competent in preparing, cooking and serving food that follows our recipes
- Committed to the highest standards of cleanliness, and adhering to our policies and procedures
- Capable of keeping within budget and ordering supplies.
- A cheerful multi-tasker, with excellent time-management skills
- Willing to cover teachers breaks for short periods of time, as well as taking care of cleaning and laundry tasks as required
- Proficient in verbal and written English
An understanding of children’s nutritional needs and the ability to cater for dietary/allergy requirements is essential for this role.
