WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Preparing and cooking Japanese and Asian cuisine meals
• In charge of the kitchen
• Evaluating food quality and proposing changes to recipes and the menu were considered necessary
• Estimating food and labour costs
• Managing food prep activities
• Monitors inventory of supplies and budgeting of costs
• Handles restocking of ingredients
• Ensures proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies
• Ensures adherence to the highest quality food preparation and hygiene standards
• Works with an attention to detail within quality standards
• Guiding and training kitchen staff
• discussing food preparation issues with the manager, kitchen, and waiting staff
• Ability to work both fast and accurately
• Team spirit and good attitude
• In-depth knowledge of food safety requirements for restaurants
• Able to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
• Excellent communication, customer service and time-management skills

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

• A minimum of 18 months of kitchen experience is required
• A positive attitude and team spirit
• A passion for great food and customer service
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and take initiative
