Expression of Interest: Security Training Officerat Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitematā -
This is a significant opportunity for someone to lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive conflict de-escalation programme across the Waitematā District focussing primarily on the Security Department but expanding the training to incorporate front line clinical staff.The primary objective of this role is to work along the Security Operations Manager with the support of the National Protective Services training team, to manage the overall de-escalation programme, to develop teaching and learning materials, deliver the programme, and to evaluate the programme’s effectiveness.The role will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and respectful environment within the Waitematā district, positively contributing to the reduction of escalated conflicts and promoting effective resolutions.Key responsibilities:Develop and/or maintain national and local teaching and learning materials and resources to meet the specific needs and objectives of Waitematā.Deliver training using contemporary teaching and learning methods.Evaluate the effectiveness of the conflict de-escalation programme through participant feedback, assessments, and other evaluation toolsPrepare reports and presentations summarizing programme outcomes, achievements, for relevant audiencesAnalyse programme evaluation data to identify areas of improvement and implement necessary adjustments to enhance the programme's impactClick here to view the position description.About UsHealth New Zealand Waitematā provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitakere, and Rodney areas.
