Short order cook - Amberley

Live and work in the awesome outdoor adventure tourist town of Hanmer Springs. It's 130 kms north of Christchurch in the South Island. It's busy and the thermal pools are amazing and it is spectacularly beautiful. https://www.visithanmersprings.co.nz.

Furnished accommodation at a reasonable price is available, suitable for a single person or a couple.

This is a full time position for someone with cooking, grill and food preparation experience in a commercial kitchen environment for a busy cafe. There is some baking too.

Afternoon shift, any five days out of seven, including weekends, with a start in the next few weeks.

While we prefer someone permanent, we would consider someone for a minimum of 6-8 months.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience on the grill and fryer
• Baking and food preparation experience
• Someone who is a general all-rounder, who can turn their hand to most things
• You need to be organised, fast and able to multi-task
• Good English speaking and understanding of English
• Must be a New Zealander, NZ resident of hold a valid NZ work visa
