Audio Visual Technician - Queenstown

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Audio/Visual & Sound Technician to join a small team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a love for live events and technical expertise in audio, visual, sound, and lighting equipment.

As a key member you will deliver exceptional technical support for a wide range of events and productions, contributing to the success of our clients’ unforgettable experiences. Visual Events specialises in wedding events and corporate events and looking for someone to assist in the growth of this company.

This role is fulltime work and provides the chance to work in a fast-paced events industry with a company that values creativity, quality, and professional growth. This is a small company looking to grow its services so you can be part of this journey based in the surroundings of Queenstown.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Operating and maintaining audio-visual and sound equipment for live events, performances, conferences, gala dinners, weddings, and much more.
  • Setting up and troubleshooting technical equipment to ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Collaborating with clients to deliver tailored technical solutions for clients.
  • Providing on-site support and oversight during events to maintain the highest standards.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the upkeep of technical equipment and infrastructure.
  • Continuously learning and adapting to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Experienced in conference technology. Teams Zoom ect,
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven experience as an audio/visual & sound technician, ideally in the events or wedding industry. Transportation and setup of sound systems, screens and lighting equipment.
  • Strong technical expertise in operating audio, visual, sound, and lighting equipment, with some knowledge of theming.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
  • Relevant experience in audio engineering, technical production, or a related field or industry experience.
  • A passion for live events and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.
  • Experience or understanding of internet activation network configurations, and streaming services.
  • The ability to work late nights and weekends when required to complete a production.

Some out of town work will be required.

The Pay: $55,000 - $80,000 NZD. Depending on experience
