Part-Time Survey & CAD Technician – Flexible South Island Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Survey & CAD Technician to join our new business. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge construction technology, including the HP SitePrint robotic site layout system and robotic total stations, delivering precision layouts for building and civil projects.

• Work from home – based anywhere in the South Island.
• Flexible, part-time hours to fit around your schedule.
• Mix of remote CAD work and occasional on-site setout across the South Island.
• Be part of a business at the forefront of construction layout technology in New Zealand.

• Edit and prepare architectural CAD drawings for site layout.
• Help plan and set up projects for robotic layout and printing.

• Has experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, DraftSight, or similar).
• Understands site plans, architectural drawings, and setout requirements.
• Has surveying knowledge or experience in construction layout.
• Is detail-focused, reliable, and comfortable working independently.
• Holds a full NZ driver’s licence and can travel for occasional site work.

• All required training on HP SitePrint and robotic total stations.
• Flexible part-time hours with potential for more as the business grows.
