Junior Tractor Driver & Cropping Assistant
No previous farming experience required – full training provided.

We are now looking for a Junior Tractor Driver and Cropping Assistant to join our cropping team based near Winchester. This is an entry-level role, ideal for someone keen to build a long-term career in agriculture and develop practical skills in cropping and machinery operation.

About the Role:
This role supports the cropping team with day-to-day field operations and general farm duties. You’ll work closely with the Cropping Manager and experienced team members, learning the ropes across the full cropping cycle.
Key duties include:
- Learning tractor driving and field work under guidance from experienced operators
- Assisting with crop establishment and ground preparation
- Supporting harvest activities (carting, paddock prep, shifting gear)
- Spraying fence lines and weeds and assisting with destoning
- Shifting irrigators and assisting during busy seasonal periods
- Learning basic machinery care, cleaning, and daily pre-start checks
- Assisting with workshop and general maintenance tasks
- Keeping yards, paddocks, and work areas tidy and safe

We’re more interested in attitude and willingness to learn than extensive experience. You don’t need to have grown up on a farm to succeed in this role - if you’re reliable, keen, and prepared to work hard, we can teach you the rest. You’ll be:
- Reliable, hardworking, and keen to work outdoors
- Safety-conscious and willing to follow procedures
- Comfortable taking direction and working as part of a team
- Interested in learning tractor and machinery operation
- Proud of doing a job properly and looking after equipment
- Class 1 driver’s license is essential
