Chineese Restaurant in Auckland is looking for two experienced full-time (30 hours+ per week) Chefs to join in our progressive restaurant. We require a positive and ambitious person who handles responsibility with ease whilst remaining focused and in control in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with sanitation regulations

• Produce all necessary food for all food service operations as required
• To order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation
• To Maintain quality and quantity control in all aspects, from portion control to freshness of the product presented.
• To plan new menu items and analyze recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labour and overhead costs
• To follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures in every aspect.
• To ensure and enforce personal hygiene.
• To train staff to use new recipes, cooking techniques and equipment, and oversee cooks performing food preparation
• To discuss relevant food preparation issues with managers and other staff
• Manage kitchen team and reviewing staffing levels to meet service, operational and financial objectives
