Quarry Machine Operator - Greerton

Our Quarry operations are set to expand with new equipment, enabling us to produce a wide range of products, including TNZ spec roading and ready-mix concrete aggregates. We are culturally diverse and always maintain a strong health and safety focus. We currently have a permanent position available for an ADT dump truck machine operator for the rehabilitation/stripping of overburden operations and maintenance work, where required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform prestart checks of the trucks, inspecting for any mechanical or safety issues
- Operate the dump truck to transport materials to and from specified destinations
- Observe load limits and ensure they are secure
- Report any irregularities in the vehicle's performance
- Follow all safety rules and regulations, including wearing PPE and operating the truck in a safe and attentive manner
- Communicate with machine operators, trucks, and other quarry vehicles to ensure safe operation.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in machine operations - Experience with ADT trucks is a huge bonus
- Physically fit
- Be able to diagnose issues
- Apt at completing risk and JSA assessments
- Daily Pre-start checks
- Online H&S reporting
- Class 2 and WTR would be an advantage
