Are you experienced in landscaping, construction or carpentry and looking for your next move? If so, we’re keen to hear from you!

We are looking for a permanent, full-time Foreman / 2IC to supervise and co-ordinate work for our dynamic team undertaking landscaping construction services for our clients in Marlborough. We shape landscapes large and small from commercial properties, public spaces, residential back yards to large garden landscapes.

This is a physical, hands-on position – we need you to be on the tools, using your practical and technical skills as well as managing, organising and motivating the crew. There’ll be lots of variety and you’ll enjoy working outdoors, contributing to creating some beautiful spaces.

You’ll cover a range of tasks including paving, timber construction (decking and fencing), concrete work, brickwork and blockwork, installation of irrigation systems, playground equipment and planting of trees and shrubs.

You might be a builder with some landscape experience or have extensive landscape construction experience. You may also have managed teams, engaging, developing and motivating your staff to achieve their full potential.

Ideally suitable applicants will have the following skills and attributes:
  • Formal landscaping/carpentry qualification or civil qualification preferred
  • Previous experience on residential / commercial construction sites
  • Full Class 1 Licence required; Class 2 and WTR would be an advantage
  • High level of physical fitness and reliability
  • Ability to manage a site and supervise staff
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability and desire to develop your leadership capability
We can offer you:
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • Supportive team environment
  • Chance to join a talented, hardworking and fun team working to create amazing spaces
  • Great staff discount scheme with local businesses

Please note that applicants must have a current full drivers’ licence, NZ residency/citizenship or a valid NZ work visa and will be required to undergo pre-employment medical and drug screening, ACC and MOJ checks.
