Pastry Cook - Invercargill

We produce most of our daily baked goods using established recipes, but there is always room for creativity and growth. We need our new team member to uphold our high standards because our customers deserve nothing less!

• At least 2 years of work experience in the pastry / bakery industry & a relevant level 3 qualification in bakery

(or equivalent certificates)

• Preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including cakes, slices, muffins, biscuits, pies and fillings
• Demonstrating knowledge of food safety and health and safety guidelines in throughout the production and

• Managing baking/cooking stocks
• Maintaining consistency and high standards in presentation and taste.
• Keeping a clean and organized workspace including all baking/cooking equipment.
• Being flexible with working various shifts, including weekends and evenings.

• Monitoring oven temperatures and the appearance of products.
• Hands-on management of bakery operations.
• Understanding safe food handling and hygiene practices.
• Implementing excellent food safety measures.
• Liaising with suppliers and customers.
• Focusing on customer satisfaction—our goal is to create great experiences and memories for our customers.
• Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to adapt to different tasks.
• Working effectively with our team, both independently and collaboratively.
• Being passionate, dedicated, and committed to perfection.

Pay: $ 26 - $28 per hour
