Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Madam Kwong's Chinese Restaurant is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable wait staff to become part of our dedicated team in Christchurch. If you are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

• Greet and seat customers in a welcoming manner;
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently;
• Serve food and drinks to tables in a timely and professional manner;
• Provide menu recommendations and explain Chinese dishes;
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and prompt service;
• Clear and reset tables between customers;
• Handle customer payments and operate POS systems;
• Assist with restaurant setup and closing duties, including cleaning tasks;
• Package takeaway orders as needed;
• Follow hygiene, health, and safety standards at all times.

• Prior experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment is preferred;
• Familiar with Chinese cuisine and culture;
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure;
• Flexibility to work evenings (up to 2am), weekends, and public holidays;
• Be able to provide written references to understand your work ethic.
