We're on the hunt for a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter/Welder with a strong mechanical background, a sense of humour, and a get-stuck-in attitude.
This is a role based in our Christchurch workshop (Belfast), with the opportunity for occasional travel for site work around New Zealand.

The role is full time, permanent minimum 40 hours / week.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Fitting and assembling custom-built industrial equipment
- Mechanical fault-finding, testing, and refining
- Medium/heavy fabrication and welding from plans
- Site installs, commissioning, maintenance, and upgrades
- Service and preventative maintenance of plant systems
- Opportunity to travel to client sites (around NZ) for specific projects
- Timber processing and sawmills
- Bulk material handling plants
- Quarry and mining operations
- Industrial manufacturing and processing
- Trade qualification in mechanical fitting and/or fabrication (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years' experience
- Proven experience in mechanical fitting and MIG welding
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Full NZ driver’s licence
- Commitment to H&S and quality standards
- Good communication and a team-first mindset
- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver high-quality work
- Physically fit and comfortable working in the workshop and on site
- Flexibility to work overtime or travel as needed
- NZ residency or valid work visa
