- Full Time JR 5342042 Mō te tūnga | About the role The purpose of our Data & Performance Insights workgroup is to provide Police with the data and performance insights it needs to be successful.
This means ensuring the availability of reliable and accurate data to internal and external stakeholders, and providing relevant, timely insights to enable informed decision-making in support of our goals and priorities.
As the Director you will be responsible for developing and implementing organizational data and performance frameworks, that includes data and performance from across the organisation to ensure a central, enterprise view of key statistical information and reporting metrics across functions.
The Director will work to bring Police's data strategy to life and ensure that this helps drives effective performance for Police and ultimately better outcomes for our community.
You will lead the centralisation of Police's data and performance functions- through structure or systems and processes
- that is able to realise the potential that Police's extensive data holdings offers for Police, our partners and the public.
The role provides key advice and assurance to the Executive on all matters relating to data and performance insights.
This includes the quality of the data and insights for all external reporting and accountabilities.This is a key leadership role for Police providing strategic leadership, oversight, direction and management of Police's complex data and performance insights and frameworks.
This position is a member of the Strategy and Performance leadership team and shares accountability for supporting key decisions that enable the future direction of the organisation and ensure Police has robust data and performance functions
- through structure or systems and processes.
In addition to senior leadership responsibilities within the organisation, the role also includes representing Police in sector and other external fora as required.
Key Accountabilities: Data and performance-related strategy and policy: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Data & Performance Insights Group, including setting outcomes, and managing and monitoring overall progress towards these.
Maintenance of data and performance systems: Lead the development of the data and performance work programme that aligns and support Police's core goals and priorities.Performance information and insights: Ensure robust systems are in place and used for the identification, management and reporting of risks and opportunities, and the development of continuous improvement.
Relationships and Partnerships: Develop strategic relationships and partnerships with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure the Data and Performance group proactively identifies and interprets future needs.

Utu ā-tau | Salary- This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $203,400 and $210,180 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
