Key responsibilities include:Leading or supporting the preparation of the Ministry's corporate accountability documents, including Strategic Intentions, Annual Report, Output Plan, Weekly Report, Estimates and Annual Review materialsLeading or supporting the preparation of internal management reporting and advice.Monitoring the Ministry's achievement of our performance measures, to support early identification and resolution of any areas of concernEngaging across the organisation to support understanding of, and compliance with, our accountability responsibilitiesProviding backup / support to other positions within the Ministerial and Executive Services team.What you'll bring | Te wāhi ki a koeWe're looking for a Senior Adviser
- Corporate Accountability who will have strong experience and demonstrated successful capability in:Providing advice and leading corporate accountability matters for Ministers and senior leaders, including authoring briefings and internal memorandumsEnd-to-end delivery of corporate accountability matters, while working under pressure and delivering multiple work outputs under time pressureSelect Committee requirements and processesThe machinery of government, including interpreting relevant legislation (including Public Finance Act 1989, Public Service Act 2020 and Crown Entities Act 2004)Building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels, internally and externally, including collaborating with others to achieve outcomes, and influencing the agenda.Building the capability of others, including the provision of guidance, coaching and on-the-job training to less experienced peopleWe're looking for an Adviser
- Corporate Accountability who will have experience and successful capability in:Providing trusted advice from within the public sectorThe machinery of government processes and relevant legislation (including Public Services Act 2020, Crown Entities Act 2000, Official Information Act and Public Finance Act 2004)Building and maintaining effective working relationships and excellent stakeholder management skillsCommunicating clearly and effectively to influence and engage with diverse audiences to drive outcomes and make things happen Operating in a fast paced and changeable work environment, demonstrating your agility to respond as well as the ability to handle high flows of information while working under pressure and to deadlines.Advising on corporate accountability matters is preferred, but not essential.
Salary range | Whānuitanga Utu ā-TauThe base salary range budget for the Senior Adviser
- Corporate Accountability position is $108,126
- 135,000 per annum + KiwiSaver.
- Corporate Accountability position is $79,983
- $85,490 per annum + KiwiSaver.
The salary offered will reflect skills and experience.
