Restaurant Manager

Soki Sushi Train was officially opened in 2022 and soon became a popular eating spot for both local residents and tourists. We’re the first and only sushi train restaurant in Otago region in New Zealand.

Due to our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager (full-time) to join us.

• Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant
• Organise setting up at the start of the day and clearing up, including cash recording, at the end of the day, ensuring established procedures are properly followed
• Pro-active in solving customer problems and satisfying customers in various situations
• Constantly review service delivery and implement actions to continuously improve the customer experience
• Ensure proper team member coverage, scheduling according to the needs of business while maintaining costs
• Develop and maintain a motivated and high performing team committed to delivering clear goals
• Hire and train new staff

• Proven management and organisational skills - with thoroughness and attention to detail
• Proven leadership and ability to work on own initiative without supervision
• Proven work experience in a Japanese restaurant
• Display professional behaviour and integrity
• Outstanding customer service skill
• Excellent communication skill
• Able to work at least 1 weekend day every week
