About the Role

This is a permanent position working 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, based in our Tipu Tahi Room.

Tipu Tahi is our dedicated toddler room for children aged 2 to 3 years, with a maximum of 22 tamariki. The space provides a calm, consistent environment that supports toddlers' growing independence and curiosity. Tamariki share an outdoor area with our 3–4-year-olds, encouraging social interaction, tuakana-teina relationships, and collaborative play.

Our routines and experiences are thoughtfully planned around children's interests, ensuring each child feels engaged, supported, and valued.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a teacher who is committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners and who thrives in a collaborative, high-quality teaching environment.

You will have:

  • BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and a current Teaching Certification
  • Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, planning, and extending children's learning
  • Sound knowledge of ECE Regulations and Te Whariki, with a strong commitment to compliance
  • A genuine commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through everyday practice
  • Passion, professionalism, and a focus on delivering high-quality teaching and learning
