Do you love watching tamariki turn questions into confidence and curiosity into courage?

Busy Bees Brooklyn is looking for a registered kaiako to join our team on a Fixed Term basis until February 2027.

About us: Tangata ako ana e te kaenga, te turanga ki te marae, tau ana.

At Busy Bees Brooklyn, we believe that people nurtured in the community contribute strongly to society. Just as the local turbines transform breeze into power, our team supports tamariki to transform curiosity into knowledge. Being part of the Busy Bees Aotearoa whanau provides our staff with the professional stability and growth pathways of a national network, all within a centre grounded in aroha.

Our values of Manaakitanga and Kaitiakitanga are the spine of our practice, from our Kakano nursery to our Kohuri preschool. This commitment to holistic wellbeing, reflected in our Nourish programme and comprehensive staff EAP support, fosters a workplace of excellence where passionate kaiako can truly make a positive impact.

About you:
You hold NZ teacher registration in ECE or Primary and bring warm energy, clear communication and a reflective mindset. You value bicultural, inclusive practice and help tamariki feel confident in their own language, culture and identity while being accepting of others.

You build strong relationships with whanau and colleagues and enjoy working in partnership around children’s interests, goals and holistic development. Planning, assessment and review are part of your practice, not just a compliance task.

Why you’ll love it here:
  • Full Pay Parity
  • Discounted childcare
  • First aid certification, annual flu vaccines and staff uniforms
  • Generous PLD budget where you can choose PLD for your own learning
  • Comprehensive induction, mentoring and coaching
  • Ongoing opportunities for career growth

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your heart and your craft to a centre where values are lived every day. Apply now with your CV and cover letter.

Applicants should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
