About the Role The Primary Mental Health Clinician is a keymember of the Mental Health Brief Intervention Service within Health NewZealand Primary Mental Health and Addiction Service - South Canterbury.To role provides service foradults, who are referred by their General Practitioner / Nurse Practitioner /Practice Nurse, NGO or other Mental Health Service, with mild to moderatemental health issues.

Initial assessment will be required to determine a treatmentplan in conjunction with the person referred. Interventions are to be focused,specific and short term. About you This role suits someone who enjoys workingwithin a proactive team environment, who is well organised and with excellentinterpersonal and communications skills.
The person must be able to work alongside andcollaborate with a range of health professionals, leading on initiatives andachieving desired outcomes.An in depth understanding and ability toimplement a range of treatment modalities in required.
Additionally, the person will also have thefollowing;Current New Zealand Registration and APC in their professionA post graduate mental health qualification would be desirableA Valid New Zealand Driver's License Working at Health New Zealand Our people are at the heart of everything wedo.
