Heaphy Cellar Door and Café is set within the boutique vineyard in Upper Moutere.

The cellar door showcases the Heaphy wines alongside the café specialising in

Woodfired pizza and smaller tapas style dishes.

Heaphy Cafe are looking to fill the following positions:
  • Chef
  • Experienced Front of House Server/ Duty Manager
Open 11am – 4pm for lunch and wine tastings, the following positions are daytime
hours including weekend hours.
Chef
Part time position, working within the small kitchen team, assisting with food
preparation, cooking pizzas in a wood fired pizza oven, creating tapas dishes and
desserts. Other kitchen duties including, washing dishes and cleaning. This role is a
public facing role as the pizza oven is located in the courtyard seating area, so

confidence with customer service is essential.

  • Attention to detail
This is a part time role, including weekends and holidays. More hours available over

the summer season.

Front of House Server / Duty Manager
Part-full time position to work within the Cellar door team and assist in growing the
business. Experience in café and restaurant service is essential to this role. The
position is ideal for someone who has a current duty manager certificate, who can
assist in the daily running of the café, prioritising customer service and maintaining
high standards. Taking the lead with functions and working with the kitchen team to

provide outstanding dining experience.

  • Excellent customer service
  • Friendly and good sense of humour
  • Knowledgeable in hospitality and wine industry
  • Effective communication skills
  • Current duty managers certificate an advantage
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work within and lead a team
  • Train staff
  • Take responsibility for the running of the food service
This role is part-full time hours, working weekends and holidays, more hours

available over summer season.
