This is a full-time, fixed term (12 months) position to work on an externally funded research project.The Specialist Cardiac Sonographer deliver high quality, advanced clinical practice and contribute to key performance areas such as education, training, research and quality assurance.About the ServiceThe Specialist Cardiac Sonographer works across the paediatric and adult inpatient, outpatient, community and outreach services across all sites where cardiac sonography services are delivered.The Paediatric and Congenital Cardiac Service (PCCS) is a national service and is the only provider of cardiology and cardiac surgery services for infants and children with congenital and acquired heart disease in New Zealand.About youAs the ideal candidate for this role you will have:A current APC and registration with NZ MRT Board.A strong commitment to quality healthcare.Post-graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound or Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound (or equivalent as recognised by MRTB) or higher relevant post-graduate level qualificationRecent experience in a tertiary hospital (minimum two years)Desired:Leadership and/or management trainingQualification in project management or other service improvement methodologyAt least five years’ post qualification experience as a cardiac sonographerFor all aspects of this role and experience/knowledge required please see the position description.
